Chess lovers like Mr Khitish Mishra, Mr J.M. Joardar, Mr K.N. Das and Mr K.D. Pillai along with some others whom we have forgotten founded this Ascociation. Mr A.B. Mohanty joined them 3-4 years later and still carrying on the baton till date sustained their Ascociation.

R U L E S
The Championship will be held from 22nd to 24th October, 2010 in the Secretariat Recreation Club, Unit-II, Bhubaneswar. It will start at 10 A.M.
Total Prize Money of Rs.26,000/- will be awarded to the players occupying the top twenty-five positions in the following manner:

- Protests, if any, shall be made in writing to the Secretary with a protest fee of Rs.500/- which shall be refunded if the protest is upheld.
- Special Prizes will be awarded to Best U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13 & U-15 Boys, Girls and Veterans. Proof of age must be produced.
- Free accommodation will be given to all out-station players except players from Cuttack Cuttack provided entry fee is received by 19.10.2010.
- Players should bring their own chess sets.
- Time limit for every game will be one hour for each player.
- A chess clock may be introduced at any stage of the game.
